Freedom Fighter, this may be the most important verse in scripture for your financial life.

Not because it talks about money directly. But because it reveals the number one weapon the enemy uses against God’s people: ignorance.

Read it again. God did not say, “My people are destroyed by their enemies.” He did not say, “My people are destroyed by the economy.” He did not say, “My people are destroyed because they don’t work hard enough.”

He said: “My people are destroyed for lack of KNOWLEDGE.”

The destruction is not coming from outside. It’s coming from what you don’t know. And here’s what makes it even more devastating — God said “MY people.” Not the world’s people. Not the ungodly. His people. The ones who tithe. The ones who pray. The ones who serve. The ones who believe.

You can love God with your whole heart and still be financially destroyed — if you lack the right knowledge.

The System Profits from Your Ignorance

Let me show you something that should make your spirit burn.

Matrix Math — the financial system’s rigged arithmetic — does not work because it’s powerful. It works because it’s hidden. The system doesn’t need you to be unintelligent. It just needs you to be uninformed.

Consider what you were never taught:

1. You were never taught how taxes actually work — so you overpay every single year and celebrate the “refund” they give you back.
2. You were never taught how debt is structured — so you pay interest for decades thinking it’s “just how loans work.”
3. You were never taught the difference between assets and liabilities — so you buy things that drain wealth thinking you’re building it.
4. You were never taught how insurance companies set rates — so you pay whatever they charge without question.
5. You were never taught how to make money work for you — so you work for money until your body breaks down.

That’s not an accident. That’s a design.

The system doesn’t teach you these things because an informed consumer is a dangerous consumer. If you understood how much interest you’re actually paying on your mortgage, you’d never accept a 30-year term. If you understood how tax withholding works, you’d adjust your W-4 tomorrow. If you understood what true financial freedom looks like, you’d never settle for retirement at 65.

Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is profitable — for the system.

What Hosea Was Really Saying

Let’s go deeper into the text. Hosea was a prophet speaking to Israel during a time of prosperity on the surface but corruption underneath. The nation looked successful. The economy appeared to be working. But underneath, the people were being exploited by systems they didn’t understand.

Sound familiar?

God’s complaint through Hosea was not that the people lacked faith. It was that they lacked knowledge. And notice the second part of the verse: “Because thou hast rejected knowledge.”

This is critical. God makes a distinction between not having knowledge and rejecting knowledge. Some of you have had the opportunity to learn. Someone has shown you a better way. But the system’s conditioning is so deep that you pushed it away. You said, “That’s not how things work.” You said, “I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing.”

That’s not just ignorance. That’s rejection. And God says it has generational consequences: “I will also forget thy children.”

When you reject financial knowledge, your children inherit your financial patterns. They inherit the debt. They inherit the mindset. They inherit the Slave Arithmetic that keeps families in bondage generation after generation.

The Three Things the System Hides

1. How Money Actually Moves

The system teaches you to earn and spend. That’s it. Earn income, pay bills, hope there’s something left. But wealthy people — the ones who designed the system — don’t operate that way. They understand that money is meant to move in circles, not straight lines.

The system defined freedom as retirement at 65. But that’s not freedom — that’s a delayed release date from a prison sentence you didn’t know you were serving.

True financial freedom is when your passive income exceeds your active income. When your assets pay your bills so your labor becomes a choice, not a requirement. When you wake up on Monday morning and go to work because you want to, not because you have to.

The system hid that definition from you because if you knew it existed, you’d stop feeding the Matrix.

Knowledge Is the Weapon

Here’s what I need you to understand, Freedom Fighter: the opposite of Hosea 4:6 is also true.

If God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, then God’s people are delivered by the presence of knowledge.

Knowledge is not just information. It’s liberation. Every financial truth you learn is a chain that breaks. Every lie you expose is a trap you escape. Every principle you apply is a step closer to the Land of More Than Enough.
