5.1 Session Recording and Heatmaps

On our public marketing pages, we use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioral analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation, to understand how visitors interact with our website. Clarity captures information such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, page views, referring URL, browser type, operating system, device type, and approximate geographic region at the country or city level. We use this information to produce heatmaps and session replays that help us identify confusing navigation, broken pages, and content that is not serving visitors well.

Clarity masks text entered into form fields, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and payment information, before that data is transmitted. We do not use Clarity to capture the content you type into forms.

Session recording is limited to our publicly accessible marketing pages. We do not record sessions of logged-in members, and we do not record any member-only area of the site, including the Freedom Calculator, Credit Rocket, the Spending Tracker, the Zero Debt Accelerator, Easy Estates, course pages, community pages, checkout, cart, or account pages.

Microsoft may use the data collected through Clarity in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement, available at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. Additional information about Clarity is available at clarity.microsoft.com/terms.

6. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

• Payment processors
• Email and SMS service providers

All service providers are required to safeguard your information.

Session replay data collected through Microsoft Clarity is retained by Microsoft for 30 days from the time of recording. Aggregated interaction data used to generate heatmaps is retained for up to nine months.

9.1 Opting Out of Session Recording

You may opt out of Microsoft Clarity data collection at any time by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page at optout.aboutads.info and selecting Microsoft. Clarity also honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which you can enable in supported browsers or browser extensions. Please note that Clarity does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” settings.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Services are not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You use our Services at your own risk.
